Is it just us or is 2022 the year of hair care? We’ve seen hair oiling go mainstream, masks aplenty, and now we’re elbows deep in scalp scrubs. That’s good news for us, because we know we’re not the only ones who deal with hair fall and hair loss.
We recently had a cuppa with one of our fave scalp care experts and the founder of her own namesake haircare brand, Miriam Quevedo, to find out why scalp scrubs are important for hair healt.
“The worst thing that can happen to hair is that it doesn’t get the nutrients and more importantly the oxygen it needs. Clogged pores or follicles mean that nutrients and oxygen do not reach the hair well, from the root or to the tips. And this has many disastrous consequences for the hair: dull, dry hair, breakage, excess oil, and hair loss. Scalp scrubs are great exfoliators since they help avoid these problems by removing the residue that suffocates the skin and hair follicles.”
Here are some fabulous scalp scrubs that stimulate our hair follicles, remove flaky build-up, and clarify our scalps for our best-looking hair. They’re available in the GCC and, better yet, a couple are even made *in* the region.
