Growing up in Dubai for more than 30 years, Nona Hekmat has witnessed the city’s incredible growth first-hand. As one of the few long-term expats, she carries with her not just memories of the city’s transformation, but also the values passed down by her mother — passed down by her mother — one of Dubai’s first female entrepreneurs. Her mother’s persistence in a once male dominated environment set the standard for her growth mindset and became the foundation of Nona’s own belief that women can achieve anything they set their minds to.
This spirit of ambition and independence shaped Nona’s journey. Trained as an acupuncturist and herbologist, she combined her passion for holistic medicine with her entrepreneurial drive to launch Le Petit Café in Umm Suqeim. Known for its organic, locally sourced ingredients and famous detox juices, the café became a community hub — welcoming everyone from health enthusiasts to international athletes. What started as a cozy café quickly grew into a full restaurant and catering company at the yacht harbour in Jumeirah, remaining a thriving business even after Nona stepped back to focus on new paths.
Today, Nona continues to dedicate her life to promoting natural medicine and holistic health, by bridging gaps and proving others the tools to natural medicine and remedie for the body and mind. She is currently between Dubai and Portugal while she pursues a Phd and at this time preparing to launch her new online workshop: “The Ultimate Skincare Guide – 21 Days to Radiance.” Her mission is to help people discover natural, simple ways to live healthier, more radiant lives.
For Nona Hekmat , success is not only about building businesses — it’s about empowering others, nurturing well-being, and carrying forward a legacy of strength and vision that began at home in Dubai.
